Technical Program Manager

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will shepherd and govern the implementation of Databricks’ industry-leading Data and AI capabilities for Public Sector customers. The TPM team will be responsible for overseeing a team of professional services architects and consultants while collaborating closely with government stakeholders in order to achieve the customer’s mission objectives, deploy use cases to Production, and accelerate Databricks adoption among the user community.

Improved Data Interoperability: A unified data layer will enable seamless data sharing and integration across different platforms and domains, facilitating collaboration and decision-making by adopting a common lakehouse architecture across federal data platforms.  Enhanced Scalability: The open architecture will enable the organization to efficiently handle large volumes of data, supporting growing demands and mission requirements.  Increased Agility: The project will provide a flexible and adaptable data infrastructure, enabling rapid response as mission requirements change and new threats emerge.  Better Data Governance: A single governance and security catalog will ensure compliance with organizational rules and industry regulations, reducing the risk of data breaches and unauthorized access by leveraging Databricks’ Unity Catalog.  Improved Analytics and AI: The solution will provide a unified architecture for analytics and AI, enabling the organization to gain insights and make data-driven decisions more quickly and effectively.  Cost Savings: The project is expected to reduce costs associated with data management, storage, and integration, enabling the organization to allocate resources more effectively. This includes identifying redundant technologies and services that, if replaced or eliminated, offer additional cost savings. Deliverables: Migration from Databricks PVC to E2, Project Plan, Monthly Reports, Quarterly Reviews, and Final Reviews









What we look for:

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 5+ years leading process/program management, with strong proficiency in analysis and reporting to inform strategic planning, optimize project execution, and support stakeholder management. Demonstrated success in collaborating with senior leaders, showcasing the ability to influence and drive decision-making at executive levels by delivering clear, actionable reporting and analysis. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills for delivering insights to senior leadership and leading steering committees. Technical Proficiency: Highly tech-savvy, with experience in using modern tools and platforms (such as SQL, Smart Sheets, Jira, Tableau/Power BI or similar) to enhance program management processes. Data Analysis and BI Reporting: Proficient in data analysis and business intelligence tools; ability to translate data into meaningful insights and performance indicators. Global Collaboration: Exceptional interpersonal and influence skills. Experience driving cross-functional projects end-to-end. Ability to negotiate priorities across organizations at all levels. Clearance: Eligible to obtain, or currently possess, and maintain an active US Government Secret security clearance. Metro DC: Local to the metro DC area for travel to customer location 



 

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 2 Pay Range$96,700—$171,000 USD
