Technical Program Manager

SRC Inc. is currently seeking a highly experienced scientist for a technical management position based out of our Washington, DC office (remote telework options available).  The selected candidate will perform both technical tasks as well as support overseeing of programs in our Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Services team in the Environmental Health Analysis business area.  The position will be responsible for managing development projects focused on chemical property estimation, hazard prediction modeling and simulation, and cheminformatic software to characterize existing and emerging threats. This candidate will work with a dynamic and successful team to perform CBRN hazard/risk characterizations, toxicological analyses, data analysis technical reports, and help manage development of innovative scientific decision support software tools and models for our customers.  This candidate will support various programs for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, United States Environmental Protection Agency, Centers for Disease Control and related agencies.  This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and successful organization, continuing to build on SRC’s reputation as an important contributor in our nation’s efforts to respond to emergencies and to protect our people and environment.   What You'll Do  ManagementDemonstrate advanced knowledge and application of program management skills, including planning, designing, staffing, and tracking progress against goalsPlan, coordinate, and direct the execution of programs, ensuring its successful implementation and deliveryPrepare major proposals and make presentations to both existing and potential customers, showcasing the capabilities and advantages of the program.Oversee the training and development of team members, ensuring their continued growth and successTechnicalPerform chemical hazard characterizations and toxicological assessmentsDevelop new assessment methodology and models for our customersReview and interpret scientific studies and integrate the available evidence from multiple data streamsCritically evaluate the reliability of scientific dataWork with the software team to enable new scientific capabilities in decision support toolsReview technical reports and analyses performed by othersInteract closely with other SRC scientists and customers What You'll Bring  Ph.D. in toxicology (DABT certification preferred) or related discipline such as chemistry or biology with 3+ years of proven experience in toxicology OR a Master’s and 6+ years of relevant experience Strong technical writing and quantitative skillsAbility to communicate effectively, through both written and verbal communication, and work closely with others as part of a project team Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: regulatory toxicology, mixtures risk assessment, epidemiology, pharmacokinetics/PBPK modeling, adverse outcome pathways (AOPs), in-vitro to in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE), systematic review, or new approach methods (NAMs) 3+ years of program management experienceApplicants are required to submit a cover letter, resume and at least one writing sample.  These files shall be uploaded to SRC’s website https://www.srcinc.com/careers/ during the application processMust be able to meet eligibility requirements for a Security Clearance  Ways to Stand Out – Preferred Requirements Active security clearance preferred Familiarity with Software Development Processes and ToolsProven experience as a program manager or in a similar senior-level program management positionExceptional program management skills with a successful track record of delivering complex programs on time and within budgetExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholdersIn-depth experience in the defense industry, specifically in the development and deployment of systems to counter Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRNE) threatsStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentKnowledge or experience in one or more of the following disciplines is a plus:Chemical property estimation techniquesQuantitative Structure Property Relationships (QSPRs)CBRN Modeling and Simulation and Hazard PredictionWhat Sets Us Apart?

The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Washington, DC is estimated at $91,000 to $126,000 annually.
