Technical Program Manager
The Manager Technical Support will be responsible for managing an efficient and effective customer focused technical support team with a focus to assess equipment and meet customer needs promptly and effectively.

Main role:

Act as an enabler of technologies in customer’s development and manufacturing processes and make Sartorius the “partner of choice” to Biocon

Support Sales and application specialists in identifying the “pain-areas” of our customers and align benefits to create value for them.

Background and Skills required:

10 - 13 years of working experience in biopharmaceutical process development or production

Master’s degree in biotechnology, biochemistry or life science.

A team player with good communication skills and should be in a position to interact with all customers cutting across the hierarchies of Serum Institute.

Be able to identify the CQAs and link them to the CPPs under QbD concept.

Should have an expertise in either Upstream or Downstream operations with full knowledge, familiar with different unit operational systems like chromatography / TFF systems / upstream processes understand the benefit of Single use technologies and be able to provide suggestions wherever it is applicable.

Familiar with international and domestic cGMP and other related regulations.

A broader knowledge and practical experience in mAbs / Vaccines manufacturing processes.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Strong network within biopharmaceutical industry.

Self-motivated and ambitious.

Comfortable with change and desirous of continuous improvement.

Entrepreneurial approach.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

Manage an effective technical support team ensuring that service levels are met for customer needs

Manage cost and revenue budgets against annual targets

Ensure all information relevant to the technical support operation(s) is complete and documented in relevant system(s)

Conduct all team appraisals and establish personal development plans, identifying individual and team training requirements and dealing with any performance issues efficiently and effectively as they arise

Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with internal processes and regulations

Qualification & Skills:

Academic degree in biotechnology or other engineering discipline

Minimum 5 years of work experience and at least 2 years team lead experience

Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate and discuss specifications with the team as well as competenly and professionally answer customer needs, including ability to direct staff members to do the same

High customer orientation
