For more information, please visit www.wbd.com Meet Our Team: Software engineering teams in WBD’s Direct-to-consumer (DTC) division build and deliver applications and services powering the customer experience of products such as MAX, which run on connected TVs, set-top boxes, smartphones, tablets, consoles, PCs, and other streaming devices. Operational Engineering (Openg) teams play a critical role in ensuring these streaming products and services run smoothly and efficiently at scale. Our specialized teams focus on areas such as Infrastructure and Cluster Management, Release and Development Processes, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Operational Excellence, and Observability. Roles & Responsibilities: · Scope & Complexity: You contribute to projects across your immediate team and collaborate with adjacent teams. You have some experience managing dependencies and engaging with external stakeholders. You work with defined problem statements and execute deliverables within a structured roadmap. · Decision Making: You make informed decisions within your domain, with guidance from senior TPMs or leadership. · Agile Execution: You focus on delivering assigned tasks efficiently and supporting your team’s productivity. You seek opportunities to improve processes within your team. · Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Product team and engineering peers to ensure clear communication of project requirements and timelines. · Operations: You follow established processes and standards, identifying minor inefficiencies and suggesting small improvements when necessary. · Influence: You contribute to discussions on product direction, technical designs, and operational improvements. · Stakeholder Management: Build working relationships with key stakeholders, assisting in gathering requirements and ensuring expectations are aligned within your team. · Communication: Your written and verbal communication is clear and structured. You help document and communicate project updates within your team and to direct stakeholders. Required Experiences and Skills: · 2+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience. · Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery. · Experience working with cross-disciplinary and geographically distributed software development teams. · Able to navigate ambiguous and complex projects with guidance. · Contribute to fostering a culture of ownership, rigor, and accountability within your programs, with occasional guidance from senior TPMs on driving org-wide influence. · Proactively identify and manage potential risks that could impact timelines, quality, or success. Facilitate the development of contingency plans to mitigate risks and keep launches on track. · Highly adaptable to changing business needs and able to drive change across defined programs within the engineering and operations world. · Ability to support business goals through execution and process improvements. Use available data to contribute to informed decision-making · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Preferred Experiences and Skills: · Knowledge of Agile or other product management methodologies, including tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Smart Sheets, Scrum, SAFe, etc. · Familiarity with technologies in our stack: Kubernetes running on public clouds such as AWS; IAC tools (Terraform); Observability (ELK); Developer platforms (GitHub); Messaging (Kafka), Analytics processing (Kinesis, Flink), Databases and more. · Familiarity with security and compliance, digital media streaming platform, Software and Platform as a Service offering, etc. What We Offer: · A Great Place to work · Equal opportunity employer · Fast track growth opportunities **How We Get Things Done…** This last bit is probably the most important!
