Technical Program Manager III, Feature Infrastructure, Google Chat
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience. + 5 years of experience in program management. + Experience in backend feature development or software infrastructure. + Experience in data analytics. Preferred qualifications: + 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. + Experience in software development and project management, along with ability to define and deliver projects and execute within timelines and with multiple stakeholders. + Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously. + Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management. + Ability to operate with flexibility in a fluid, constantly evolving team environment. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google (https://careers.google.com/benefits/) . + Manage software development projects from requirements through launch, including defining feature requirements, managing project schedules, and performing risk management. + Identify trends and themes among project and team issues, and drive root-cause analysis with the engineering, product, and UX teams. + Optimize team and project processes to ensure efficiency and quality of output. + Analyze data and draw insights from the data to drive projects and direction. + Communicate with core team and partner teams, and manage the relationships across team members.
