As a Technical Project Manager (TPM), you'll play a key role in our innovative team dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for our global customers.
From powering platforms like NBCUniversal’s Peacock in the United States to Sky’s NOW, and SkyShowtime across Europe, and now Showmax in over 40 countries in Africa, one thing’s for certain, your contributions will impact millions of viewers worldwide.
What You'll Do:Primarily manage projects and the roadmap of Sky products and work together with Delivery teams and Business, Product, Operations and Programme stakeholders
Drive the project management tools and techniques for the different phases of the project lifecycle
Facilitate and lead consistent project/program plans for cross-functional teams, leadership, and stakeholders on a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence as needed
Proactively identify, manage, escalate, and mitigate program risks, issues, and dependencies
Track actions and next steps after meetings and ensure on-time delivery of agreed-upon tasks (forecasts, timelines, milestones and deliverables)
Work closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new feature development, to deliver high-quality, scalable products deployed around the world
Instil best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on time
This role involves joining a fast-paced environment that constantly prioritises consistent delivery
The TPM will directly work with the area’s Delivery Managers and Engineering Managers to achieve engineering excellence, the business goals and the project’s delivery
What You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant work experience, such as in tech consultancy or other roles within a tech environment
3 years of professional experience
1 year of technical project management working directly with software engineering teams
Experience in project management, particularly in Agile environments
Resilience and the ability to navigate ambiguity with autonomy are key for this role
Autonomous and responsible for delivering agreed tasks
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across time-zone and cultures
Extremely well organised, punctual and methodical but keeping a pragmatic approach to solving problems
A proactive and solution-oriented attitude
Experience in OTT or Telco sectors desirable
Position based in Lisbon with a hybrid office presence
Fluent in English
