Manage cross-functional engineering projects involving diesel, hybrid, and electric heavy equipment systems across infrastructure and port-based environments.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
5–7+ years of project management experience on complex engineering projects
Experience with engineering projects in R&D, design, and testing
Background in heavy equipment, infrastructure, inland ports, or similar environments
Familiarity with diesel hydraulic, diesel electric, diesel hybrid, and fully electric battery systems
Understanding of mechanical, structural, hydraulic, electrical, controls, software, and power systems
Experience working with project management tools (Microsoft Project, JIRA, ClickUp, Basecamp, Monday.com)
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Certified or experienced in PMO, CAPM, or CSM methodologies
Demonstrated experience combining Agile and Waterfall practices in hybrid models
Experience serving as a Scrum Master
Preferred Skills:
Strong understanding of engineering capacity planning and resource management
Ability to translate Statements of Work (SOWs) into project plans
Knowledge of KPIs for resource capacity, cost, performance, risk, and valuation
Experience in sustainment and NPD (New Product Development) projects
Job Responsibilities:
Align subject matter experts to support project activities across engineering functions
Conduct capacity planning and manage engineering team workload against project timelines
Maintain up-to-date project documentation and centralized repositories
Define, measure, and report success metrics, business cases, and scope objectives
Create detailed project plans and task breakdowns from internal and external inputs
Integrate scrum methodology into daily workflows and long-term planning
Coordinate deliverables across cross-functional teams with interdependencies
Provide accurate and meaningful status reports to stakeholders
Conduct project retrospectives, postmortems, and continuous improvement sessions
Monitor and adapt the Engineering Capacity Framework to align with demand and performance metrics
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
