CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Project Manager (Java) opening for our client in Garden City, KS. Location: Remote Duration: 12 months Duties: Design and architect web applications using Java and associated technologies, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, testing, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements. Lead technical decision-making for system architecture, database design, and integration strategies. Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to development teams. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards. Stay up-to-date with the latest Java and web technologies, and evaluate their potential integration into the solution. Collaborate with project managers to deliver on time and within scope, providing clear communication on progress and roadblocks. Assist in the creation of project timelines and work plans, offering guidance on technical feasibility. Skills: Strong expertise in Java and related web technologies (Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, REST APIs, etc.). Experience in full-stack application development and architecture. Deep knowledge of software engineering practices, including design patterns, coding standards, and Agile methodologies. Experience with SAP is a plus. Experience in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in application architecture, specifically with Java and web technologies. Proven track record in designing and developing scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. Previous experience in technical project management or leading teams of developers in Agile environments is preferred. Experience in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and support. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
