What you will do:
The Technical Records Specialist is responsible for the development and maintenance of systems for engineering and maintenance relevant technical records storage for Wacker Polymers.
This position provides support to the Engineering, Maintenance and Asset Reliability teams for proper storage and retrieval of technical records for both the operating plant and investment/ technical projects. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Engineering and Maintenance.
Administrate the electronic technical records & document storage systems for engineering & maintenance groups.
Maintain technical records in a manner compliant with management system requirements and facilitate engineering/maintenance team members’ retrieval of the records, ensuring proper version control and document property assignment. Manage and maintain access to the relevant storage systems. Organize, lead, and perform document & file migrations into existing and new electronic systems for all new & modified records. Provide document retrieval services for stakeholders. Ensure technical records systems comply with WACKER’s in-house Engineering Document Management & Collaboration platform and PSM requirements. Design & implement improvements and modifications to existing systems and assist new system installations. Identify, lead, and support the implementation of new document control and storage systems relevant to the engineering and maintenance teams in the US Region. Create, update, and maintain records systems process documentation as the subject matter expert on document control. Facilitate the document turnover process at the end of technical projects. Provide guidance and direction to 3rd party vendors that collect and/or maintain project documentation. Train engineering and maintenance personnel on records management procedures and policies, including documentation, retention, and retrieval. Develop content and train engineering and maintenance personnel in utilizing processes and tools.
Maintain and improve procedures for the maintenance and engineering department.

What we need from you:
An associate degree in business, engineering, IT, or other technical fields is required. A bachelor’s degree in these fields is preferred. 3+ years of professional experience in an office environment supporting engineering, maintenance, or similar environments (5+ years’ experience preferred.) Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, OneNote, and SharePoint Highly motivated, self-directed, able to work independently, as part of a team, and in a matrix environment. Work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment while staying focused. Ability to work well with others and comfortable with asking questions. Effective planning and time management are vital to this role. Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and troubleshoot. Problem-solving aptitude Trustworthy to maintain the integrity of confidential data and information in sensitive documents. Candidate preferably is familiar with Standards & Regulations such as ISO 9001 as they apply to documentation & revision control. Detail-oriented in document review, assessment, development, and application of appropriate metadata to the documents. Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred. Preferably has experience with electronic document management systems. A system administrator background is preferred. What do we offer?
