This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our Toronto office 2- 3 times per week - subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:Project/Process Management
- Create and track project plans mainly for delivery activities. Create work breakdown structure for development team activities, assign & track tasks daily, proactively identity and resolve impediments impacting development team.
- You will be the voice of development team in most of the project forums.
- Provide weekly delivery status in multiple forums as required.
- Manage and track project documentation as per Enterprise Delivery Framework requirements. Ensure team is compliant with enterprise requirements.
- You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with ability to build and foster relationships with business users, project stakeholders, and external vendors.
A) Technical Skills
- Must have 5+ years of experience in software development, understanding of full stack technologies like React/Angular/JavaScript/Java/Oracle/Sql Server.
- You have technical knowledge on Rest APIs, databases, system integrations (SSO, SSL, JWT Authentication, Message Streaming, etc.).
- Must have some experience working with cloud-based applications, awareness of public cloud offerings like Microsoft Azure.
- Must have good understanding of software release process (GIT workflows, environments, binary repositories, DevOps CI/CD pipelines, container-based applications).
- Good working knowledge of currency & infrastructure projects i.e., linux upgrades, server refreshes, database upgrades, etc.
B) Release Management
- Develop and maintain portfolio release roadmaps, dependencies, timelines.
- Proactively identify dependencies/conflicts and come up mitigation strategies to streamline the release process.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams (QA, business, operations, support, vendors) to track the release schedules, scope, deployments, defects.
- Experience in managing deployments of vendor applications, tracking milestones/delivery timelines as per vendor contractual agreements.
- Create and update the project operational documents as part of the handover to operations team before production deployments.
- Good understanding of Service Now workflow to create deployment change records.
- Hands on experience with confluence and JIRA tools.
- Experience in handling business communications for requirement clarifications, change requests, production incidents (post go-live).
