Technical Representative Trainee\n
The position of Tech Trainee will be part of Austin Powder's development program that will give this individual hands-on experience to gain knowledge of our industry, our customers and our organization. This program is designed around technology-oriented and professional development training to ensure that, once completed, the Trainee will be set up for success in a Tech Representative role within the organization. This opportunity will provide exposure to our field crews, sales, technology and business development.\n
Key Responsibilities and Duties\n\nTravel throughout the LLC to work with our blast crews to gain an understanding of our products and the applications in which they are used. \nWork with our Tech Representative(s) to interact with customers to gain understanding of needs and how the tools and processes work within our organization.\nShadow the Technology team to observe how they troubleshoot issues that occur on our bench.\nMentor with our Business Development team to understand how various functions within the LLC impact the LLC's performance. \nOrient to our Mission, Vision and Values.\nObserve and learn from experienced Austin Powder team members.\nParticipate in location meetings as well as LLC team meetings. \nProvide feedback to the Corporate Learning and Development\/HR team on success of the rotational trainee program. \nTravel to our manufacturing sites to gain exposure to how products are made. \nOther duties as assigned.\n\n
Education and Experience \n\nFour-year degree in Mining Engineering is preferred.\n\n
Skills and Knowledge\n\nWritten and oral communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, managers, and vendors. \nPosses a learning agile mindset and take the initiative to learn while in this rotational program. \nMust be computer literate in MS Office applications and proficient in Excel in order to analyze and summarize information as needed.\n\n
Work Environment \n\nWork outside in all weather conditions.\nAbility to lift up to 50#'s repeatedly when working with the blast crews. \nAbility to travel up to 50-75% throughout the LLC. Additionally, there may be times when this role will assist with projects or work in other LLC's \n\n
