Parker is looking for leaders of tomorrow to fill a field sales role focusing on electromechanical technology after completing a 1-year training program.
Program Description:
+ This is an entry level position
+ Program duration: 1 year training program
+ Program structure: Multiple rotations at different Parker locations
+ Rotation length: 1 to 5 months each, with occasional travel within a rotation
+ Relocation requirements: Rotations will likely require short-term relocation for each rotation.
+ Locations: Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program.
+ Travel Requirements
+ Begin at Parker’s corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio for Orientation.
+ Some weekly travel within each rotation for product training and career shadowing.
+ Program completion: Required relocation to permanent territory assignment to a location domestically, depending on openings and needs of the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of electromechanical products (electromechanical controls, drives and positioning systems) and maintaining effective agreements.
+ Attend product training schools within your Operating Group and train at various Parker and distributor facilities to learn technical aspects of products and applications.
+ Learn about markets and business acumen to improve understanding and deliver value to customers.
+ Develop professional selling skills to find ways to add value to customers, distributors, and Parker.
+ Attend formal training to develop professional development, sales, and leadership skills.
+ Building relationships and collaborate with a network of distributors, customers, and Parker divisions.
+ Utilize CRM for tracking opportunities, interpreting sales data, and making good business decisions.
+ Independent accountability for planning, follow-up, project assignments, and revenue-driving results.
+ Communicate business activities and cases effectively with timely reports.
+ Build an effective relationship with an assigned mentor.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree: Electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics majors are preferred.
+ Required to relocate domestically to assigned field/territory after the program with the new location to be determined and communicated at the end of the one-year training program.
+ Overnight travel greater than 50-75% for the first 12 months.
+ Technical competence; being mechanically inclined is preferred.
+ Work in sales or marketing is a plus.
+ Work experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment is a plus.
+ ITAR eligibility (i.e., US citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
