SUMMARY:
The Technical Sales Engineer is tasked with supporting the Sales team in developing geospatial solutions and serves as the primary liaison between Sales, Business Development, and Sanborn's internal Innovation and Products team to communicate evolving market dynamics and needs. The ideal candidate for this position will maintain a high level of technical expertise regarding all third-party data sources represented by Sanborn, along with an in-depth understanding of our photogrammetric, remote sensing, and GIS products and services. The selected candidate will collaborate with existing clients to document and comprehend use case requirements, devising custom solutions in partnership with the Innovation and Products team, that leverage the full capabilities of Sanborn Geospatial.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, naturally inquisitive, and enjoy teaching and mentoring non-technical customers on how GIS systems and Geospatial data can be leveraged to address their needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical expertise to Sales and Business Development teams on new opportunity pursuits. Acts as the technical liaison between Business Development and Sales and the Innovation and Products team. Collaborates with the Products & Innovation Team to provide training and support for new product launches and updates to the sales team and end-users Acts as the in-house technical subject matter expert on all third-party products supported by the Content division. Provides technical input to marketing in support of the creation of collateral, social media and sales campaigns. Develops Content solutions for customer defined use cases. Works with Business Development and Sales in defining key technical input on market landscapes, including competitive intelligence, changing market needs and growth opportunities. Assists in the development of proposals, pricing and schedules in support of closing deals.. Provides technical presentations at trade shows and conferences. Participates in client engagements to define and document technical requirements and value propositions relating to product development and solutions. Develops technical materials and provides training to customers as applicable. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum 10 + years relevant experience leading and/or as an individual contributor technical sales support teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments serving both government and private sector customers. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to teach in a consultative environment. High proficiency in major third party software (ESRI, AutoCAD, Bentley).EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences required. Master’s degree and/or certificates in Photogrammetry and Remote sensing preferred.Salary Range: 100K - 155K annually
