Summary –

The successful candidate will be an expert on papermaking press fabric construction and responsible as the customer facing press fabric application specialist.   This role will include regular travel to papermill production environments with total travel between 25-50%.  The amount of overnight travel will be dependent upon location.

 

Responsibilities –

 

Support Sales Growth By:

Collaboration with field personnel to obtain necessary machine information for application and production success.  Validate this data is documented in relevant systems (JDE, GV, Salesforce, etc.) so that it is available for design / manufacturing. Providing value to customers by working to identify specific needs, preparing recommendations / propose products to address the needs.  Developing (with Sales and Key Account Management), supporting and executing specific sales plans for identified growth accounts / positions.  Take an active leadership role as required to grow press felt sales. Presenting new products, technologies or concepts to sales, service and customers. Providing product training and supporting technical service Assisting with trial planning, trial evaluation and Continuous Improvement estimation and documentation. Representing applications/design in NCR investigations as needed.  Working with quality department to ensure product quality requirements are met.

 

 

Education and Experience -

 

4 years + of related experience in fabrics and/or papermaking Experience working enterprise systems such as SAP, JDE, IBM/Lotus Notes, Salesforce and Microsoft Office products. Knowledge in press application and performance evaluation. Second language fluency is not required, but would be a plus (Spanish or French)

 

Physical Requirements -

 

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to climb catwalks and stairs in production environments. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Travel of 20-50% is expected.  Must be able to travel by commonly available modes (car / plane / train)
