ESCO Hydra UK Ltd manufactures and repairs underground mining equipment and consumables, covering shearer drums, continuous miner shells , toolholders and picks, and various heavy chains. The company is recognised as an industry leader delivering innovative products and custom engineered solutions that enhance customer productivity and safety and supports projects in the fields of renewable energy and mineral mining on a global basis.


Purpose of Role: Manages sales, controls costs, maximizes profits and develops new sales.  Provides recommendations and customer information in the development and implementation of product improvements and new products to meet the needs of the market.  Develops, manages and expands sales. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing resources providing technical information and expertise.  Supports customers in the technical development of products and services for both new products and product improvement. Analyses products and generates costings providing relevant quotes to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for driving and delivering key financial results and expanding core and complementary products and services; maximizing sales year over year while ensuring and maintaining appropriate profit margins.Works directly with customers to understand technical requirements and develops engineered solutions.Routinely meets with the management group to develop sales strategies and goals to support local and division markets.Works directly with Engineering and manufacturing resources developing new product and providing technical expertiseProvides voice of the customer to manufacturing and engineering, illustrating product and performance requirements.Actively prospect new business.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.



Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.Bachelor degree in Technical / Engineering disciplineMinimum 5 years of customers’ management experienceWorking Environment: : Principally office based role will be required to visit customers’ sites, may be required to visit underground mine sites in multiple locations and off shore locations.Physical Demands: May on occasion be required to work in hot and cramped environment i.e underground mine locations,Travel Requirements: 15% travel globally
