Purpose of the role
The Technical Sales Manager (Specification) plays a key role in driving both sales and product specification efforts. This role involves providing customers with expert technical guidance on Leviat products while identifying and leveraging market opportunities to enhance brand awareness. They are responsible for developing safe, practical, and cost-effective solutions to address the challenges faced by specifiers and end users, ensuring both satisfaction and long-term brand loyalty.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Drive sales engineering efforts to expand into new application areas, including tunnelling, industrial flooring, elevator systems, and steel structures. Collaborate with the Technical Department to prepare presentations that communicate solutions and value to clients. Recommend enhanced materials to customers, detailing how these adjustments can reduce costs or improve construction productivity, and assist in designing custom products to meet unique requirements. Manage assigned geographic territories, covering both existing and newly delegated areas. Provide proactive technical support to customers, as well as to internal teams such as sales and production. Develop technical solutions, including statistical calculations and project support, to address client needs and ensure successful outcomes. Conduct research on local and country-specific construction methods to inform project approaches and solutions. Collaborate with material testing laboratories, oversee testing processes, and liaise with relevant authorities to ensure compliance. Design and dimension specialized construction solutions tailored to unique project needs. Develop and review comprehensive proposals and quotations for project bids. Create and deliver end-to-end technical solutions for various building projects. Organize seminars and training sessions for customers, design institutes, and external stakeholders to enhance product understanding and application. Represent the company at industry exhibitions, trade fairs, seminars, and related events to build brand presence and foster networking. Develop and update marketing materials, including product brochures and website content, to align with current offerings. Maintain an organized archive of technical documentation for easy access and reference. It is not possible to enumerate all duties but your scope covers all Technical, Sales and Specification related responsibilities.
