Based in the Northeast US, your primary responsibilities will be to drive instrument sales and promote products and solutions to assigned customers in the Food and Beverage and Consumer Packaged Goods industries in New England, New York, & MidAtlantic States for Emerson’s Measurement Solutions Group. The business includes the following brands, Rosemount, Rosemount Flow and Micro Motion. You will play a meaningful role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. In this position, you will partner with F&B customers and OEM’s to make the world healthier, safer, smarter, and sustainable. This is a remote field-based position located within the territory.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
Act as a Strategic Partner to both current and prospective customers in the F&B/CPG sectors, gaining a deep understanding of their business needs and recommending solutions to maintain and grow sales Use proven sales strategies and CRM tools to effectively promote and sell the company’s products, image, and “total value” Conduct regular territory analysis and strategic planning to identify and capitalize on opportunities Pursue and secure major project business, demonstrating a strong ability to close deals Effectively sets priorities and manages time efficiently Develop product-based solutions to address customers’ latent pain. Deliver sales solutions both independently and collaboratively, working seamlessly across teams to achieve success WHO YOU ARE: You relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geographies; understanding interpersonal and group dynamics and engaging in an effective manner. You analyze multiple and diverse sources of information and readily distinguish between what’s relevant and what’s unimportant to efficiently define sophisticated problems accurately before moving to solutions. You maintain a positive demeanor and forward-thinking approach despite troubling circumstances or setbacks. You negotiate strategically in tough situations, by responding efficiently to the reactions and positions of others, to win concessions without damaging relationships.FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
Diploma Degree 1+ years of related technical sales experience Valid Driver’s License Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision Willingness and ability to travel within territory as required, with potential for occasional overnight stays Availability for occasional travel outside the territory for factory training and meetings Ability to work in the US without needing sponsorship now or in the futurePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
3+ years of related technical sales experience preferred Digital Outreach skills – LinkedIn Navigator, SalesLoft, etc Bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience, or combination of education and experience relevant to our products and industry. Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary/pay range for this role is $90,000 -$130,000 total annual compensation, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
