Technical Sales Specialist
As a technical sales specialist, you will play a key role in aligning technical solutions and client needs during the sales process to enhance client engagement and to drive revenue growth.   Working closely with the wider sales team, you will leverage technical knowledge of the products and the competitive landscape to identify client requirements and to deliver compelling value-driven solutions.   The technical sales specialist is responsible for understanding the company's products and services at a granular level and effectively communicating their value to prospective clients.   This is a remote position located in London, England.   Key responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, providing pre-sales technical support and guidance during the sales cycle, responding to technical inquiries and RFIs/RFPs, and collaborating with the product development team to address client-specific challenges.   This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights, and a commitment to ensuring client satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.   The ideal candidate is a technically adept professional with excellent communication skills, capable of building trust with both clients and internal teams by demonstrating a deep understanding of both the technical and business aspects of the solutions.   Role and Responsibilities Technical Expertise Serve as the primary technical resource for the wider sales team, providing in-depth knowledge of the product. Deliver compelling product presentations, technical presentations and product demonstrations to help clients discover and understand the value of our solutions. Conduct proof-of-concept implementations. Collaborate with product development teams to understand and translate technical features into client-focused benefits. Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and competitive landscape.   Client Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their technical needs. Collaborate with the wider sales teams to reach targets by uncovering and understanding client pain points and technical requirements. Encourage growth in existing clients or in potential new markets or new clients based on your knowledge of both the product and the users. Respond to technical inquiries and RFIs/RFPs during the sales cycle. Provide support and guidance during the sales cycle and contract negotiations by addressing technical aspects and challenges from prospective clients. Support the wider sales team to develop and refine technical messaging and positioning for the product.   Cross-Functional Colaboration Provide feedback to the product development teams on client needs and potential product enhancements. Work closely with the marketing team to develop technical content for sales materials. Collaborate in the hadover to the customer success team to ensure clients receive exceptional post-sale service and technical support.   Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of the technical industry. 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales or technical solutions consulting or solutions architecture or product management role within the enterprise communications or enterprise software industry. Strong understanding of the industry and technical product offerings.   Preferred Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills in English with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.  Another EU language would be beneficial. Experience with value-based selling in client-facing roles. Ability to analyze and interpret business requirements and client interactions to anticipate and guide client needs. Excellent client management skills, bias for action, taking accountability, a validated ability to perform hands-on technical work when needed, and ability to lead initiatives and global cross-functional teams. Self-starter and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfort in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders. Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
