Instrumentation Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will manage the targeting and strategic selling of flow meters in all industries and in all the U.S. regions. The ideal candidate will be technically sound, well-spoken, driven and capable of exceeding our customer’s needs and winning flow meter business for ABB. Should be able to speak at a high level to channel partners and customers on flow meters. You will work with key external influencers to educate, inform, and solicit orders.The work model for the role is remote.This role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division. You will be mainly accountable for:•Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB’s offering and strategy.•Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicates value proposition to customers.•Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.•Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports cash collection and project management activities, when needed.Our team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

5 or more years’ experience in sales or channel management experience, maintenance or service.MBA or Engineering degree in related field a plus.Solid understanding of Flow Measurement, particularly DC & AC excitation Electromagnetic flow, Coriolis mass flow, and Vortex meters. Additional product responsibility for primary dP flow elements, VA meters, and Thermal Mass. Ability to design solutions particular to the customer’s needs while driving ABB products into the solution.Obsessive focus on end users, their wants and needs, their goals and objectives, how they buy, how they maintain their equipment, how they partner with suppliers.Ability to develop relationships at all levels in ABB, our channel partners and our end users (from field personnel to corner office). Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
