Technical Sales Specialist - Purification & Pharma Analytics (PPA) - BioProduction

Location: South Korea - Seoul - 12F Suseo Office Building, 281 Gwangpyeong-ro

Job Description

The Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) for Purification & Pharma Analytics (PPA) is responsible for sales in an assigned territory.

They will handle current business relationships, develop new opportunities, and grow sales and profitability using their sales experience, product expertise, and market intelligence.

This role is based in Korea and will work well with customers through various means of communication.

The TSS will also support the delivery of customer expectations and commercial goals for the business unit in the assigned territory.

Crucial Responsibilities

Meet or exceed assigned sales goals for POROS and CaptureSelect by maintaining growth and actively searching for new business opportunities within the territory.

Develop and drive new business and ensure target customers are aware of Pharma Analytics product offerings and champion BPG Pharma Analytcis value proposition in the market.

Collaborate with customers and product management to forecast and communicate large order and shipment details.

Maintain and improve sales skills through technical and sales training. Proactively update Salesforce and Business Plans.

Collaborate with sales colleagues in the territory that represents Thermo’s other BioProduction products, including Gibco Cell Culture Products, Single Use Products, and PCR and Sequencing-based Analytics Products, to help grow Thermo’s overall Bioproduction business.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, or equivalent experience, specializing in molecular biology techniques like qPCR / RT-PCR, Sanger Sequencing, and process analytics. (Master preferred)

Strong and intimate understanding of downstream process analytics and quality control workflows in Bioproduction processes.

Outstanding oral and written communication skills, proficient in value selling techniques, and the ability to sell up into organizations.

Able to work independently with limited day-to-day strategic direction

Experience

Requires a minimum of 3+ years of sales experience working in a role related to the bioproduction process specifically targeting molecular biology like qPCR-based techniques

Possess a validated understanding of customer challenges and solution development

Demonstrate previous success in a customer-facing role

Established sales history and relationships with the upstream and downstream process and Validated Understanding in Bioproduction process
