Technical Sales Trainee

Our Measurement Solutions Sales Trainee program is a full-time, salaried position with the initial training lasting approximately 12-18 months, and is located at our corporate headquarters in Shakopee, MN. The training curriculum will include learning products, industrial applications, sales skills and work processes that will lead to a successful career in industrial field sales. As a Sales Trainee, you will not only collaborate with experienced salespeople but also our customers in an Inside Sales capacity. Your mentor will be a Regional Sales Manager, located in the geographical area where we intend your outside role to be located once your training is complete.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Acquire and maintain an overall knowledge of Measurement Solutions and its products, their uses, and application.

Complete product training courses. Become familiar with targeted markets. Learn to make basic presentations of products. Participate in local trade shows and professional societies. Complete project database training and enter a project.

Provide Regional sales support.

Establish regular customer contact with assigned accounts. Develop/maintain a small account load. Accompany Regional salespeople on joint calls. Perform inside sales responsibilities. Develop a relationship with Impact Partners and respective sales channels. Inquire and keep alert of all customer projects and work with Regional Manager to develop sales plans.

Actively pursue professional sales development.

Complete important training courses. Develop communication skills vital to thrive in a sales role.

UPON COMPLETION OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM, AS A TECHNICAL FIELD SALES PROFESSIONAL, YOU WILL: 

Work closely as a Strategic Partner with current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend solutions that will maintain and grow sales Apply proven sales strategies and CRM to promote and sell the company image and "Total Value" Regularly perform territory analysis and planning Pursue and win major project business Successfully provide sales solutions independently and collaboratively across teams Who You Are: You understand the importance and interdependence of internal customer relationships. You engage in collaborative planning. You make new connections and build relationships in other areas and teams. You prepare content for communication that is impactful. You take time to ask questions and define the problem and make learning a priority and a goal.   For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 0-1 years of related experience Valid Driver’s License Ability to travel domestically up to 10% for training or customer visits Legal authorization to work in the United States 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Distribution or Industrial Technology Successful candidates will have outstanding time management, communication and presentation skills, along with a strong desire for a career in industrial field sales. Familiarity with instrumentation devices (temperature, level, flow, and pressure products) in the process control industry is strongly preferred. Our Offer To You:
