We are hiring a **Technical Service and Development (TS&D) Specialist** for the Multibase™ product line to join our **Copley, OH** site.
The **TS&D Specialist** provides product technical expertise to customers, and internal teams, in the development and application of products, processing techniques, testing against industry standards, and resolution of problems. This **TS&D** role may perform formulation optimization / domestication to support the local manufacturing site. They may assist with product improvements, competitive positioning of existing product offerings, and new business product developments. The candidate is the primary technical resource, for the regional business teams, and works directly with global technical, Copley manufacturing, sales & marketing, distributors, customers, and other strategic partners.
The individual may guide or support, the work, of a technician.

**Your Key Responsibilities:**
**Technical Support:**
+ Offers technical support and exceptional customer service to clients by addressing inquiries and efficiently resolving issues.
+ Provide customer technical support on the product range and coordinate generation of technical data necessary to qualify the product for customers and targeted applications with a goal of gaining customer approval.
+ Develop and provide product training and assist with product literature.
**Customer Engagement:**
+ Communicate effectively with customers to gather feedback, fully understand their needs, and provide customized solutions.
+ Act as a product representative for our customers. Attend meetings, provide presentations, sometimes on the customer site.
+ Follow the qualification, at the customers, and ensure the conformity of our products to the industry standards.
**Documentation Maintenance** :
+ Maintain precise documentation of test results, procedures, and customer interactions to ensure traceability and compliance. Document results in the required customer format.
+ Conduct analytical, experimental, investigative, and other fact-finding work to support the customer.
+ Provide scientific understanding of the observed phenomena, over composition, process, and performance relationship.
**Troubleshooting & Quality Management** :
+ Develop and implement strategic approaches for troubleshooting quality issues related to product performance and application.
**Collaboration:**
+ Active member of project team. Participate in the global technical network and ensure knowledge transfer.
+ Contribute to the site programs (such as safety and quality). Adherence to product stewardship is required.
**Industry Knowledge**
+ Develop and demonstrate professional expertise and experience acquired through the writing of internal technical reports, active participation in seminars, publication of articles in the specialized press and presentations at relevant technical conferences.
+ Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and regulations to maintain expertise in thermoplastics technologies.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Plastics Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related field.
+ In-depth knowledge of thermoplastic processes, compounding, injection molding, and extrusion techniques, complemented with an understanding of polymer materials, their formulation, and organic and silicone compounds.
+ Proven experience in a Technical Service & Development (TS&D) role and/or engaging in customer-facing environments.
+ Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Spanish would be an asset, when collaborating with customers and internal teams.
+ 5 years of relevant experience and technical expertise in the development and application of products, processing techniques, testing against industry standards, and problem resolution for both customers and internal teams.
+ Highly organized project management and capabilities to build work plans with a sense of responsibility, adept planning of activities, and ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
+ Ability to work in a collaborative setting to achieve customer and business goals.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experienced with IT tools such as SAP.
+ Flexibility to travel as needed, up to 10-20%, for business and to meet customers.
