Technical Service Manager

Responsible for helping the customer to be successful, ensuring product performance in the field, protect Axalta market share, gaining and improving customer satisfaction.Identified and build relationships with key personnel at customer site.Establish baseline and improve customer satisfaction.Manage daily, weekly and monthly reporting and improve overall coating performance.Responsible for internal and external reports.Communicate with Sales team, GBT team, PE team & CSR to support customer.Manage the site team performance, set up site team COT and lead the IPP/BPP reviews.Manage site team to achieve Axalta’s business goals, policies & business ethics.Manage new business activities, launches.Manage relationships with both manufacturing and engineering team at customer sites.Maintain key communication regarding daily projects, line issues and future planning via meetings and daily communication.Serve as an expert in paint technology & application.Respond quickly to questions, concerns regarding product lines and general operations.Manage & resolve paint issues quickly – provide recommendations on issues related to product, application, inventory, and general paint process.Assist customer to overcome line problems. Utilize resources w/ GBT and other TSM’s. Manage & communicate with appropriate Axalta departments for daily updates on paint consumption, invoices, inventory, and paint ordering.Prepare customer demand forecast; successfully manage on-site inventory and product orders for customer(s) plants.Manage customer projects (LWRs, FWRs, EPMs) Define requirements regarding test requests to GBT via LWR. Manage report details and report outs to customer.Cultivate a strong team culture by enhancing and building highly effective and collaborative cross-functional relationships throughout the business.Coach and mentor employees, providing career development planning and succession opportunities.Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility while providing regular feedback.Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate emailThrough integrity and dependability, build relationships within the organization to support change initiatives to help the team deliver value.Continuously identify ways to improve by engaging with staff and bringing perspective on new ideas.​High School diploma is required. Additional education/college degree in Engineering/Technical field is highly preferred.The ideal candidate will have at least five+ (5) years of automotive coatings manufacturing experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while handling multiple projects at any given time.Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
