Technical Service Representative

Job Title: Technical Service Representative (TSR), Healthcare Location: Field-Based (Montreal, Quebec)

Position Objective:  Technical Service Representative (TSR) will serve as the primary technical liaison between customers, manufacturers, and suppliers in the Quebec and Ottawa regions. This position involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. The role is crucial for driving service excellence, improving customer satisfaction, maximizing retention, and enhancing profitability.

Key Responsibilities: Provide on-site service and customer support during field visits across Quebec and Ottawa. Adhere to scheduled workflows, ensuring timely completion of all service activities. Manage installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of assigned equipment. Diagnose technical problems, identify solutions, and implement effective repairs. Generate detailed and timely service reports for all field activities. Follow company procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards during service tasks. Understand customer requirements and provide clear recommendations or briefings. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Source parts and equipment from approved vendors as needed. Maintain direct communication with customers regarding scheduling, service updates, and sales inquiries. Assist with special projects or additional duties as assigned by upper management. Oversee inventory management, ensuring proper parts availability for field service tasks. Travel approximately 40-50% of the time to various locations within the assigned region. Qualifications: Completion of a recognized Biomedical Electronic Engineering Technology program or combined equivalent education and experience. . Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment. Familiarity with tools, equipment, and their applications in a field service environment. Bilingual proficiency in English and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings, as needed. Excellent listening and problem-solving skills to address customer complaints and offer solutions. Ability to travel extensively (40-50%) within Quebec and Ottawa, with overnight stays.
