**A Day in the Life**
Position Description:
Technical Service Specialist for Medtronic, Inc., located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Function as the primary technical representative for Medtronic customers and the sales and clinical groups. Responsible for the technical assessment, installation, support, servicing, maintenance, and de-installation of all equipment at customer sites. Work closely with all the Medtronic operating units, Marketing Team, Quality, Production and Engineering groups to continually evaluate the performance of products in the field. Responsible for In-house repair service at repairing & service center and on-site technical service and support without sales & service quota for neurosurgery. Provide technical assistance and advice to customers, sales personnel, and healthcare professionals responding to product related questions, issues and problems. Perform installations, inspections, verification, corrective, and preventive maintenance for Medtronic's equipment. Responsible for Robotic surgery equipment repair to include Mazor, Stealth Station, Oarm, and neurosurgery and cardiovascular equipment. Responsible for managing Mechanical ventilator for intensive care units, electrosurgery units, and monitoring equipment. Act as a liaison between sales personnel and customer on technical issues. Responsible for providing sales personnel with technical data for the demonstration of products, leveraging knowledge of sales and service quota. Develop and deliver various technical trainings to stakeholders such as distributors, partners, agents, and technically qualified representatives. Responsible for maintaining tools and stock control inventory. Must be insurable (car insurance) and have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to travel 50% within Puerto Rico and internationally to the Caribbean Islands to provide sales and service to various hospitals and clinics. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree or foreign equivalent in Biomedical, Electrical, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field and two (2) years of experience as a Technical Service Specialist or related occupation performing medical device and equipment repair. Must possess at least two (2) years’ experience with each of the following: Providing in-house repair service and on-site technical service and support; Knowledge of sales & service quota; Knowledge and managing Mechanical ventilator for intensive care units, electrosurgery units, monitoring equipment, and neurosurgery and cardiovascular equipment; Providing technical advice to customers, sales personnel, and healthcare professionals regarding product related questions, issues and problems; Presenting technical data for product demonstration; and Maintaining tools and stock control inventory.

Salary: $74,800 to $108,000 per year
