Position Summary

Come join our team as a Technical Services Laboratory Intern. You will be an active member of the STERIS Life Sciences Consumables Technical Services Team supporting the Process and Cleaner Evaluation (PACE®) Laboratory and Pharmaceutical Detergent product line. This internship will allow you to develop work instructions for analytical instrumentation. You will be gaining knowledge by working under the guidance of STERIS Life Sciences Technical Services Management.

Dates: Summer 2025 (May-August) Location: St. Louis, MO Work Environment: Onsite What You'll do As A Technical Services Laboratory Intern

Assist Life Sciences Consumable Technical Services team in the development of rinsability studies:

Participate in training of rinse recovery methods (Conductivity, TOC, HPLC, and FTIR) Perform rinsability studies of our products from equipment services Assist with PACE and analytical laboratory Customer projects, as assigned The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program studying chemistry, biochemistry, or related science or engineering field Successful completion of sophomore year requirements by program start (May 2025) Experience in a laboratory setting (professional or coursework) with familiarity of good laboratory hygiene and safety practices Ability to collect and analyze data and identify trends Must have the technical aptitude necessary to work with formulated chemistries products Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred:

Experience with a variety of analytical instrumentation is beneficial Coursework and/or experience in data management tools, e.g. Excel, statistical analysis Marketing coursework desirable

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills  Strong team player who is detail oriented, communicates well, and follows through
