What You Can Expect
Responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating plant engineering and maintenance activities throughout multiple buildings and departments. By managing work order requests (preventive, corrective, continuous improvement and projects), investigating scope of work; estimating materials, tools, labor, skill set, and impact to operations, the Technical Service Planner coordinates internal and external resources to ensure plant and equipment maintenance is completed to optimal efficiency and timeliness. This role also serves as a key resource behind plant engineering and maintenance metrics, safety, cost, quality, delivery, and morale.
How You'll Create Impact Establishes and maintains department practices and procedures to ensure compliance to 21 CFR 820.70(g) Equipment Controls and ISO 13485 6.3 Infrastructure.Manage data storage and retrieval of state regulatory agencies' documents, such as permits for building infrastructure and utilities, ensuring departmental compliance.Evaluate and maintain records within SAP Plant Maintenance System (CMMS) for equipment records, functional locations, maintenance plans, materials and work orders, ensuring audit readiness.Initiate and lead change management process for proper change control of plant maintenance records to ensure compliance, data integrity, and accuracy of equipment & maintenance records.Leads Issue Evaluation (IE) / Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) processes for items related to plant engineering and maintenance activities, making recommendation for improved processes and corrective action.Analyze departmental financial and operational data and report out trends and findings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, making recommendations for improvements and performance optimization.Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and managing internal resources and external contractors/service providers for on-site plant engineering and maintenance activities, including preventive & corrective maintenance: equipment installation, relocation and decommissioning.Prepares and creates purchase requisitions within the appropriate applications (JDE, SAP) systems for parts and services. Involves requisition reconciliation & spend schedule coordination.Manage and performs functions related to spare parts inventory and non-stock spare parts procurement.Facilitate the availability of the necessary parts, materials, and tools by preparing requisitions, inventory reservations, and PM kitting activities.Work cross-functionally, to ensure maintenance and plant engineering work is clearly communicated across impacted departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, New Product Introduction and Sourcing departments.Develop, implement and sustain standard work-flow departmental processes that align with and support site objectives and strategies.This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and might not necessarily comprise all of the essential functions for purposes of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
