Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you! 

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Are you ready to take on a leadership role where you can inspire and guide a team of skilled engineers working on groundbreaking technologies in the healthcare sector? 

 In this position as Technical Department Manager, you will oversee a group of 15-25 professionals, ensuring their development, performance, and delivery of exceptional results. You will be accountable for managing resources effectively, meeting deadlines, and maintaining top-tier quality standards.This role focuses on shaping the future through technology and product strategies, introducing new solutions, overseeing product lifecycle processes, and offering expert-level support in the field. It’s a unique opportunity to drive impactful projects that improve lives while honing your leadership abilities and technical expertise in a dynamic and collaborative setting.

Your Role: Team Leadership: Manage and develop a multidisciplinary software team, ensuring the highest standards of quality, serviceability, and reliability in software deliverables. Innovation Driver: Oversee new product introductions, product lifecycle management activities, and advanced field support, contributing to state-of-the-art solutions in imaging systems. Strategic Planner: Define team composition, including required skills and resources, and establish efficient ways of working to meet organizational goals. Process Optimizer: Lead process improvements, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Cross-Functional Collaborator: Work closely with internal stakeholders such as innovation, operations, customer services, and marketing, as well as external suppliers and partners. Technology Advocate: Play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare technologies, driving the adoption of advanced software engineering practices and ensuring interoperability.

 

What You Bring: A Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software development combined with proven leadership and project management skills. Expertise in healthcare regulations (FDA 820.x, IEC 62304, ISO13485, ISO14971) with a strong commitment to continuous improvement. Proficiency in high-performance real-time C++ code design and implementation (nice to have). Hands-on knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as DICOM and FHIR. Experience with software testing, quality assurance, and systems integration. A solid understanding of Windows, Linux, firmware, and hardware development processes.
