TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT (ARDAP):

 

Bowhead is seeking a Technical Solutions Architect for the upcoming Army Data and Analytics Platform (ARDAP) effort located at Fort Belvoir, VA. ARDAP's mission is to accelerate Army leader informed decisions and warfighter mission accomplishment by ensuring real-time availability of command and logistics information & data.  This is a fast paced job managing subject matter experts and IT professionals advising executive level personnel on financial, technical, and other high-level policy areas.

Responsibilities Serves as a key leader responsible for defining, establishing, and evolving the Army Training Information System (ATIS) technical and datacentric architecture. This role requires advanced expertise in designing scalable, cloud-based solutions, aligning technology strategies with business objectives, and ensuring compliance with Army policies and standards. Define and evolve the technical and datacentric architecture for ATIS, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and Army policies. Collaborate with data architects to design and map future state architectures, enabling scalable and sustainable solutions. Lead the decomposition of large-scale projects into manageable, actionable technical components to support successful implementations. Engage with stakeholders, senior Army officers, and civilian personnel to present and rationalize technical plans, aligning them with organizational road-maps. Facilitate discussions to address complex technical challenges and resolve conflicts effectively. Translate technical architecture into actionable insights for technical and nontechnical audiences. Research, evaluate, and document the benefits of various technical approaches, recommending innovative solutions that align with modern Army enterprise systems. Leverage expertise in AWS and Azure cloud services to design and implement cloud-based solutions, ensuring integration with existing Army systems. Provide interface and integration strategies while ensuring compliance with external and organizational requirements. Align technology strategies to support broader business initiatives and goals, enabling smooth transitions into operational programs. Lead the implementation of enterprise data management solutions, including master data management (MDM), ETL processes, and data lakes. Collaborate with cross functional teams spanning multiple Army programs to ensure cohesive and interoperable solutions. Ensure solutions adhere to Army policies and procedures and comply with DoD and federal government regulations. Guide teams in implementing best practices for data governance, data quality management, and metadata management. Qualifications

Master’s degree in an Information Technology discipline or a related field.   

10+ years of experience in engineering and deploying cloud based information systems and solutions. 5+ years of experience developing and administering Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

SAFe Solutions Architect and SAFe DevOps or Security+ (or higher).Extensive knowledge of Army policies and procedures. Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Experience leading technical solution implementations with multiple stakeholders and providing strategic briefings to senior Army leadership. Hands on experience with AWS and Azure cloud services. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
