We are hiring a Technical Solutions Engineer of Imaging Services who will report to the SR Manager, Technical Services & R&D and will be responsible for driving new product initiatives to support New Product Development teams. Projects are to be completed efficiently and effectively while maintaining Fujifilm quality standards. The position involves coordinating with all technical service staff, managing resources, and facilitating communication between various departments to ensure that technical services objectives align with organizational goals. Providing guidance and engineering support, the Technical Solutions Engineer helps to foster a collaborative environment where innovative solutions can be developed to meet the challenges faced by the organization. The expertise will contribute to the continuous improvement processes for the business.
FUJIFILM North America Corporation, a marketing subsidiary of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation, consists of six operating divisions. The Imaging Division provides consumer and commercial photographic products and services, including silver halide consumables; inkjet consumables; digital printing equipment, along with service and support; personalized photo products fulfillment; film; one-time-use cameras; and the popular INSTAX® line of instant cameras, smartphone printers, instant film, and accessories. The Non-Destructive Testing Division delivers radiography solutions to ensure high accuracy inspection of transportation infrastructure, and assets within aerospace, and oil and gas industries.
FNAC-ID Personalized Photo Products Group (PPPG) now makes more than 450 personalized items (such as coffee mugs, posters, framed prints, canvas wall décor and more). PPPG provides a turnkey, back-end service of producing these items for a variety of retail and online customers.
External USResponsibilities
Designing and presenting solutions by utilizing knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment. This will include presenting potential proof of concept and interacting with all teams involved.Designing/fabricating spare parts to reduce operational costs. Pre- Sales / New Product Support, by which they will conduct testing, evaluation of current capabilities, to relate to the manufacturing aspect of products.Implement quality protocols to maintain the standards of technical service work and production output.Facilitate communication between technical service staff and other departments, such as sales and production, to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met. Develop safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.Allocate resources to maximize efficiency and meet project deadlines.Mentor and train new technical service staff, providing guidance on company procedures and project-specific tasks.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical service issues that arise during project execution.Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies or processes that improve productivity and reduce costs.Encourages and champions an atmosphere of Continuous Improvement by fostering an environment with the teams working together to act with intentional inclusion and participation of all team members within all departments.Follows established Environmental/Health/Safety (EHS) guidelines as pertains to safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).The above statements describe the general nature and level of responsibilities for this position and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of this position. Required Skills/Education
Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related field.Machine Tool Technology – 5 plus years of experience.Ability to interpret Mechanical and electrical schematics – 5 plus years of experience.Ability to utilize 3D Cad software.Ability to utilize 3D Modeling software.Experience in project management and structured methodologies – 5 plus years of experience.Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical solutions.An analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word required. PowerPoint presentation skills helpful.Extremely organized, results-driven, and willing to escalate issues if necessary to achieve goals.Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal and written).Strong ability to adapt to change.Strong ability to build positive working relationships.
Desired Skills
Demonstrated project planning and project management skills.Individuals should possess excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to work closely with team members, both internal and external customers and service providers.
