Job DescriptionThis is a 1st shift position: 7a - 3 pm (Mon-Fri)
Responsible for providing ongoing technical and operator training/support within the Flexographic and Digital Print Area to ensure the manufacturing operations operate efficiently and effectively. Onsite service and support are required daily along with possible after hour assistance as necessary.
• Perform technical support for flexographic and digital print systems – includes many different types and styles of equipment and technology.
• Follow verbal and written instruction.
• Complete production and time keeping records daily and in time for production mtgs.
• Help manage inventory on a daily basis and complete cycle counts during inventory times.
• Complete inventory counts at production lines. (Work with material buyer)
• Coordinate jobs between departments and verify schedules are followed.
• Work with scheduling and Customer Service to ensure rush jobs get completed and shipped on time.
• Inspect and sign off on production runs.
• Interprets company policies and enforces safety regulations.
• Motivate workers to achieve goals in all departments.
• Help with 5S/MRR projects in all departments.
• Report any employee issues to the Production Mgr.
• Medium level of computer skills required.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and Supervisors.
Required Skills:
• The candidate must be able to present themselves in a professional manner at all times and will be expected to interface with upper management.
• This position requires the ability to fully understand and troubleshoot the flexographic and digital processes.
• This position also requires good communication skills, which are required when dealing with outside vendors along with internal team members.
• This candidate should have or be prepared to obtain a strong understanding of printing, image quality, color management and web-handling experience as well.
• A well defined technical aptitude.
• Experience with Windows and MIPS a plus.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $29.29 to $42.23 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay. Required Exp:
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, some college or trade school preferred, and/ or five to seven years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise others.
• Previous experience in the operation of a printing press or work in a printing environment preferred.
An A.A.S. degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or any other Engineering Technology Discipline will be considered. Certified Electricians or Technicians from various industries outside of the printing industry will also be considered. Having any of the above-mentioned skills, mixed with a strong IT background would be another plus. Substantial experience within the printing industry, in lieu of a degree, may also be considered.
