The Technical Specialist, Platform Architecture will join the TRATON Group R&D Systems Architecture team in Lisle, Illinois, which defines the vehicle network, functional, and communication architectures across all TRATON Group vehicles.
This role is responsible for defining the electrical/electronic (EE) architecture, including functional allocation, message definitions, module I/O allocation, and providing system-level technical support.

We currently have a great opportunity for a Technical Specialist on our TRATON USA’s R&D Team.

Responsibilities Development and documentation of CAN, Ethernet and/or LIN messaging constructsCreation and maintenance of vehicle network topologiesManagement of device I/OProblem solving and implementing solutions to hardware and control software issuesWork in a team and contribute to the continuous improvement activities through participation in Lean projects, technical knowledge capture, process improvements etc.Mentor less experienced engineers Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 12 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies

OR

Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 8 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies

OR

PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 5 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies or specialized technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
