Purpose of this position is to deliver a multi-skilled, PLC, IT and Software controls equipment service across a wide range of operationally critical equipment whilst both understanding and operating safely in-line with the customer’s business needs.
Yo will operate as technical support for the customers sites, primarily in the Netherlands with occasional travel to the Fairburn site in Atlanta, Georgia and in all cases report into the Site Maintenance Manager.

Tasks and Qualifications:Main Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot complex systems issues and recommend ideals on productivity improvement, cost reduction and improve customer satisfactionPerform complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system designCoordinate all controls and engineering input necessary to troubleshoot and maintain a high level of system uptimeMaintain a complete set of project engineering records on all assignmentsManage lifecycle of client issues by creating, responding, troubleshooting, communicating, and resolving product related Incidents and ProblemsInstall, configure, optimize and maintain OS, software and databasesDesigns and contributes to SOPs, tools and knowledge base articlesTroubleshoot java code, identify bugs, and prepare patches and hot fixesStrong problem/resolution solving skills Demonstrating an analytical mindsetFlexible to adapt to same-day and next-day changes to project supportEffective communication – networking & collaboration across all departments internal and externalCapable of project management and handling multiple prioritiesEfficient time management and organization skillsTo be the customer’s point of contact for all technical fault managementError management ownership and engagement through a CAPA processAdherence to agreed communication and fault management processesRoot-cause-analysis of faults using industry recognised tools within Lean Six Sigma principlesEquipment availability/Reliability optimisation through continuous ImprovementPLC backup, version control and change managementInput to the resident teams technical training matrixMaintaining the technical tooling requirements including software, hardware, comm’s modules / leads and alternative interface equipmentExcellent Record-keeping, file updates, process managementSupport the control of obsolescence on siteKnowledge of relevant industry standards to the site e.g. EN258Maintain compliance to key CE Directives and standards ensuring all are channelled through the correct business departmentEnsure the quality of output in line with relevant industry, company and legislative standardsEnsure all company documentation is completedEnsure full utilization of DMMS and record all reactive and proactive tasks undertakenKey Requirements:
Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent5+ years’ experience working with the application of material handling solutions, automated systemsBroad knowledge of controls and software automationBasic understanding of organization's business practices and issuesVery good understanding of Microsoft Office applicationsJ2EE foundationUnix/Linux system administration and scripting (preferred)NetworkingMS Windows Server (2003, 2008 or 2012) administration (preferred)Tomcat Web Servers (preferred) Electrical controls system experience including inverter drives, barcode scanning equipment, Profibus / Profinet / ASi-bus / ASi-Safe / Ethernet etc.PLC Siemens S7 & Allen Bradley experience requiredIT experience – PC’s/Database/NetworksWarehouse Control System / Warehouse Management System knowledge including the ability to follow log-file sequencing (preferred)Previous experience within a controls equipment environment in warehousing preferredCoach and mentor all staff to embrace Dematic and relevant design/industry standards1-4 years Java development experience (or education)Proven experience meeting deadlinesDemonstration of previous independent project work1-4 years of SQL database experience (or educationLean Six Sigma experience preferredWillingness to travel 10 - 20%
