This position favors a candidate with experience in independent decisions to provide operational and/or technical leadership, oversight, guidance, and consultation to resolve complex issues, technical, financial, and general support to Maintenance organization by providing information and data analysis on various maintenance programs, processes, procedures, and teams. The successful candidate will establish processes/programs necessary to support state of the art capabilities within assigned organizational and programmatic areas and plan for and integrate applicable emerging technologies. Job responsibilities favor a self-directed professional that can serve as the process/plan or program management lead/POC/SME in development of technical reports, analyzing and troubleshooting maintenance technical problematic scenarios and be able to do so within a timely response, plan/procedures, and database management. Have a diverse work experience level that includes maintenance, tank farms, operations, facility maintenance, hoist and rigging/crane and rigging, along with Specific tasks that include but are not limited to: requirements management/contract/implementation compliance verification, budget/actuals tracking through spreadsheet technical/engineering document reviews/compliance checklists, lead technical assessments, EAM reports, development/management of technical website content, and presentations to senior management/DOE. The incumbent will develop, investigate, analyze and determine the solutions to problems and/or adverse trends. Duties include but are not limited to, implementation of procedures for assigned system(s) or as direct assistance/leadership to maintenance teams as requested, define and maintain system baseline documents, monitor and trend system/program performance, conduct field walk downs, develop specifications, conduct procedural reviews, perform and/or review calculations, development and review of technical/operability evaluations and coordinate/integrate technical information and activities for personnel. * Establish cost effective technical or programmatic solutions to issues generated by frequently changing programmatic requirements; develop measures for determining compliance and implementation; conduct technical investigations where appropriate; audit performance to determine effectiveness. * Provide advice to management on various technical programs, processes and services. * Qualify and act as an assessment team member and as a team lead. * Support Maintenance line organizations, direct/monitor performance, and implementation of initiatives for safety, efficiency and productivity. * Participate in Human Performance Improvement initiatives. * Develop verbal/written reports, training sessions, technical presentations to senior management. * Ensure Integrated Environmental Safety and Health Management System principles are incorporated into organizational activities; and * Perform other emergent duties as assigned. Please Note: This position is being advertised under the current Tank Operations Contractor, Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS). However, now that transition activities have begun a candidate selected for employment may be hired under the incoming contractor, Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) contract. Required Qualifications Grade 19: * Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a closely related field; and * None (9) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or related experience. Grade 20: * Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a closely related field; and * Ten (10) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or related experience. Desired Qualifications * Hanford (working knowledge/expertise) in Operations & Maintenance field execution as well as office environment experience. * Asbestos program management and/or field experience * Familiar with EVMS and CAM support * Working knowledge and experience with procedures processes for assigned system(s), definition, and ability to maintain system technical baseline documents, monitor and trend system/program performance, conduct field walk downs, develop specifications, conduct design/procedural reviews, perform and/or review calculations, development and review of technical/operability evaluations and coordinate/integrate technical information and activities for personnel. Ability to recommend solutions to management problems * Demonstrated advanced user skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint), Adobe Pro, Visio and EAM is a plus. * Experience to include demonstrated ability to effectively interface and communicate with all levels of company and subcontract personnel and to effectively lead individuals, teams, and organizations while successfully implementing programmatic responsibilities. Compensation & Benefits In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
