The Center of Sustainable Community Solutions is seeking an experienced professional with technical and managerial expertise in water infrastructure. They will work independently and collaboratively to manage technical projects and advise utility and community participants. They will engage with communities primarily in Puerto Rico, but will also be responsible for trainings, resources, and assistance to a national audience in partnership with a national network of Environmental Finance Centers. They will lead efforts to address the operational and infrastructure challenges facing water or wastewater utilities, particularly in economically distressed communities. They will collaborate across multiple teams to advance grant priorities and implement programs with guidance from the Assistant Director of Caribbean Programs and Program Managers from across the ISE. This position will also seek out and develop new funding sources to further the mission of the ISE and its EFC. Travel is required and may include overnight trips to New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and other locations. Collaboration with external partners including community-based organizations, other universities, and state and federal agency staff is anticipated. Remote work will be required. Not all geographical areas within the United States are eligible.
