Technical Specialist CFD Solutions

Job Summary:

Technical Specialist CFD Solutions (Troy, MI). Work with global sales and software development teams to drive sales campaigns and development activities to help meet customer requirements; Deliver advanced proof-of-concept, software benchmarking, and engineering services activities demonstrating Altair CFD products.  Focus on solutions built on our nanoFluidX SPH technology, a particle-based solver enabling CFD solutions in new markets.  Create and present product demonstrations for potential customers.  Participate in post-sales technical support activities to maintain the quality of support and help to expand CFD knowledge.  Perform training in classroom or through web meetings.  Contribute to the development of technical papers to increase collective knowledge and drive future business.  Enable wider deployment of new CFD solutions throughout the Altair engineering offices globally.  

Education/Experience Required:

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautics or related and 1 year of experience as a Research Engineer or any related position in design engineering.  Must have one year of experience in Converge CFD, developing custom codes for 3D visualizations and 2D post-processing.  Domestic and international travel required up to 10%.  Telecommuting is acceptable.  Work may occur from anywhere in the U.S.  Altair Engineering, 1820 E. Big Beaver Road, Troy, MI 48083.  40 hrs/wk.  8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
