JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for conducting diagnostic procedures to isolate equipment malfunctions and verify the cause(s) of the problem, assess the severity of hardware and software malfunctions and determine corrective action required to restore the system to operation. Responsible for building relationships with customers and providing a high level of quality customer service.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceTroubleshoot and repair equipmentVerify the integrity of accessories and clean the equipmentConfigure equipment to customer specificationsInstall RAM, hard drives and other PC componentsKeep asset management data up to dateRefresh end-of-life PC equipmentAnalyze, test, evaluate and deploy new products and servicesSet up, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops and printers in a call center environmentImplement BIOS, driver and software updates for supported equipment and applicationsSupport remote/offsite access for end usersREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Skills/Abilities and Knowledge)
Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishProficient in using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office productsSkilled in installing, repairing and troubleshooting computer hardware and PC componentsExperience in installing software, applications, and patchesExperienced at repairing Windows-based PC computer hardwareProficient in working with users remotelyGood communication and customer service skills to relate with end users, team members and support workersAble to ensure that all requests from user are logged and right procedures are followedManage time and priorities effectivelyAbility to work with little supervisionCommitted to learn and relate technical conceptsDetail-orientedAble to lift up to 50 lbsEducation
Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experienceRelated Work Experience
