Through pre-emptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role will maintain a high level of service to clients. Their primary objective is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions. The Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L3) is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems. This position uses considerable judgment and independent analysis within defined policies and practices. This role applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions. This role focusses across two or more technology domains - Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications and / or Collaboration etc. This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required. **What you'll be doing** **Key Roles and Responsibilities:** + Ensures that assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested, and operational + Performs necessary checks, apply monitoring tools and respond to alerts + Identifies problems and errors prior to or when it occurs and logs all such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail + Assists in analysing, assigning, and escalating support calls + Investigates third line support calls assigned and identify the root cause of incidents and problems + Reports and escalates issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary + Provides continuous feedback to clients and affected parties and update all systems and/or portals as prescribed by NTT + Proactively identifies opportunities for work optimization including opportunities for automation of work + Coaches L2 teams for advance technical troubleshooting and behavioural skills + May manage and implement projects within technology domain, delivering effectively and promptly per client agreed upon requirements and timelines + May work on implementing and delivering Disaster Recovery functions and tests + Conducting overall IT Infrastructure Assessments (Logical + Physical) highlighting risks at various levels - Single Point of Failures, Capacity Analysis, Configuration Assessment, architecture review etc. + Carry out proactive and reactive administration on Storage (HP, Hitachi, EMC any two) along with Brocade switches or Cisco MDS switches must and + Responsible for mentoring L1 & L2 resources. + Ability to communicate and listen effectively. + Ability to understand Business requirements and translate them into technology solutions. + Ownership of Infrastructure and responsible for service uptime / availability + Hands on experience and ability to do Root cause analysis, Problem & Capacity Management + Inclination towards emerging technologies + Ensure adherence to process + Prepare SOPs and Operational Runbooks + Driving Problem Management process for Operations as per ITIL standards + Reviewing Quality of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for various technology teams. + Working with Engineering team for transitioning new services into operations + Evaluating and Implementing Key Operational Projects as per goals identified. + Conducting overall IT Infrastructure Assessments (Logical + Physical) highlighting risks at various levels - Single Point of Failures, Capacity Analysis, Configuration Assessment, architecture review etc. + Carry out proactive and reactive administration on Storage (HP, Hitachi, EMC any two) along with Brocade switches or Cisco MDS switches must and + Responsible for mentoring L1 & L2 resources. + Ability to communicate and listen effectively. + Ability to understand Business requirements and translate them into technology solutions. + Ownership of Infrastructure and responsible for service uptime / availability + Hands on experience and ability to do Root cause analysis, Problem & Capacity Management + Inclination towards emerging technologies + Ensure adherence to process + Prepare SOPs and Operational Runbooks + Driving Problem Management process for Operations as per ITIL standards + Reviewing Quality of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for various technology teams. + Working with Engineering team for transitioning new services into operations + Evaluating and Implementing Key Operational Projects as per goals identified. Secondary Responsibilities: + Extending all possible Support to Operations team during Crisis situations. + Assisting Project Management team in providing technology support for PoC customers. + Provide technical support to Solution Engineering (Pre-Sales) team as and when required. + Ensuring smooth Handover of New Projects / Services to Operations teams. + Adequate documentation & Training to Operations team members. Reporting & follow ups for capacity bottlenecks / thresholds of Shared services. + Basic understanding of ITIL process (Change, Incident and Problem Management). Technical Skills: + Hands on experience on HP 3PAR + Hands on experience on zoning, hard zoning soft zoning. + Hands on experience on creating LUNs, storage group, pool, implementation of new SAN, + Good understanding of firmware upgrades and day to day operations. + Storage capacity sizing and design solutions. + Troubleshooting on storage performance issues. + In-depth working knowledge of any SAN, backups. + Hands on experience on any hardware like HP/EMC/IBM/Dell/Netapp. + Storage Navigator, HP Storage Works Command View, etc + Good working Knowledge on SAN topologies, RAID, NAS and SAN. + Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis on storage issues. + Have good understanding of SAN, NAS, DAS Production Environment. + Having very good knowledge of RAID, & other Basic SAN Concepts. + Well Understanding of Protocols FCP, FCIP, IFCP, FCOE, ISCSI. + Very good understanding of Architecture of HP/EMC/Netapp. + Having good knowledge of Thin Provisioning, Data De-duplication & Storage Tiering. + Having good idea on Business Continuity, High Availability & Disaster Recovery.
