This role is responsible for overseeing the technical maintenance and performance of a versatile fleet. You will ensure vessel safety, compliance, and operational efficiency through close collaboration with the technical team and ship crews. Daily responsibilities will include managing repairs, overseeing planned maintenance systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and working with external contractors. You will be a key contributor to the fleet’s continuous improvement, ensuring that high operational standards are consistently met.


Key Requirements Previous experience as a Chief Engineer and Technical Superintendent in a shore-based role Strong working knowledge of and recent hands-on working experience with bulk carriers, multi-purpose vessels, or landing crafts Expertise in managing planned maintenance systems and vessel inspections Proven ability to lead technical teams and work with diverse, multicultural crews In-depth understanding of marine regulations and safety protocols Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to be based in Lae, Papua New Guinea
