Job Description Technical Superintendent – Tanker Fleet
Location: Singapore
Are you an experienced maritime professional seeking a dynamic role in the heart of Singapore's bustling shipping hub? We are partnering with a globally respected ship management organization to recruit a Technical Superintendent for their tanker fleet, focusing on chemical and oil tankers.
This is a unique opportunity to join a world-class team and play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of assigned vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the safe and economical operation of assigned tankers, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations. Plan and manage maintenance, repairs, and dry dockings, ensuring schedules are met and budgets maintained. Monitor technical and operational performance, identifying and implementing solutions for optimization. Promote a strong safety culture and environmental awareness across the fleet and shipboard teams. Ensure vessels are appropriately manned and fully certified in accordance with industry requirements. Provide clear and concise technical reports to vessel owners and key stakeholders. Work collaboratively with shipboard management, providing technical and operational support. What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline, with 3+ years of sea-going experience, preferably in the tanker sector, OR a Chief Engineer’s license with at least 2 years of service as Chief Engineer. Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Technical Superintendent managing chemical or oil tankers. Strong knowledge of the marine industry, including applicable rules and regulations. Demonstrated experience in budget control and purchasing for ship operations. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in English with the ability to prepare detailed technical reports. What’s On Offer:
