What’s the role?

As a Technical Supervisor Specialist, you get to work with an astonishing team that plays a vital role in Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions, LLC. Show case your skills and experience with process enhancement for supervising the execution of technical services for their assigned specialty field service personnel to include:  Installation, maintenance, repair of ZEISS systems, and other related services. The Technical Supervisor Specialist is accountable for the performance of assigned field service personnel to ensure proper productivity, efficiency, and quality of services are rendered to create a high level of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include: training on technical service skills and procedures, coaching and development of Field Service Technicians, promotion of Field Service Excellence, supporting customers on a technical basis, and assisting the Regional Service Manager as needed. Supporting customers with emergency repairs will be necessary at times and the time split will be 75% of the time coaching and mentoring with the remaining 25% of the time working emergency repairs when necessary.

Customer FocusUnderstand, track and resolve customer issues.Interact and collaborate with process partners effectively in an effort to maximize customer satisfaction, and handle technical escalations.Employee FocusPerform technical training and process coaching of Field Service Technicians.Promote individual development of Field Service Technicians to include regular, in person, coaching sessions.Empower and motivate Field Service Technicians via feedback.Demonstrate ZEISS Core values (Serve, Empower, Act, Win).Foster and reinforce company initiatives, policies, and procedures.Support Regional Service Manager in achievement of following targets:Develop and maintain specialist team including; hiring, training and developmentControl and reduce warranty costs per regional target.Achieve target for paperwork accuracy.Manage tools andparts consignment to ensure that all parts have been returned and accounted for within established goals.

Do you qualify?

Associates or technical degree preferred in an engineering or related field plus 4 years field service experience OR related technical experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.2 years as a ZEISS System Specialist or equivalent experience in coaching and mentoring.Proficient in the use of standard tools including electronic evaluation equipment. (Oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.) PC, MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.)Requires effective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
