The Technical Support and Connectivity Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the technical steps to “get connected” and have ownership for assisting in “keeping the connection” for our customers. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in successfully monitoring system performance and driving results associated with system uptime as well as supporting key trouble shooting tasks to keep our customers devices online and visible.

In this role you will provide a high level of technical service support to Radiology service & sales teams through the Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) on a direct and in-direct basis to guarantee device uptime and supplement the sales efforts to successfully increase sales and market share.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for assisting internal teams (i.e., Inside sales, Field Service, Sales) and customers get connected; from getting new devices connected as part of the final stages of the device install process or troubleshooting and resolving queries for exiting products on customer sites.Responsible for all license set-ups for workflow solutions products.Accountable for supporting day to day inbound customer communication for connectivity inquiries and technical support, which can include taking calls from the 1800 number.Real time monitoring of device connections for Australia.Accountable for root cause identification for any device that falls off-line; identification is achieved through system review, customer communication, remote activities and in significantly complex situation, urgent field dispatch for on-site evaluation and resolution.Supports software and vulnerability patch remote deployment and field service dispatch activities as required.Assist in development and/or updating of documentation of new procedures and processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, IT, Marketing, and Cyber Security to ensure successful support of the local strategy.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards Support TAC related tasks. Traveling and providing service at customer sites (25-55% of time). Travel would be to customer sites located throughout the ANZ region.Does this sound like you?
To be successful in the role:
An Associate’s degree or Bachelor degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant discipline and a minimum of 3 years' work experience in the Strong technical knowledge and skills to perform servicing, repairs, testing and calibrations of all defective boards, sub-assemblies and systems of Bayer Radiology equipment and good understanding of service repair process.Experience with networking, network administration, and monitoring IoT devices, required - Experience with Windows and Linux OS, preferred.Proven track record in managing system performance status through data strategies and implementing solid solutions to drive an enhanced customer experience.Ability to deal with ambiguity, work independently and apply critical thinking.Strong self-direction, detail orientation, organization skills and time management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Deep understanding and/or the ability to understand regulatory Skills & Qualifications: landscape for medical device connectivity.Willingness to travel, (25-55%) is required Ability to work staggered shifts to accommodate customer time zones to support schedule coverage needs (i.e., WA and SA)Be You @ Bayer
