The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct technical service and support for our fab defect inspection products for customers Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and other countries either remote or direct.
• Understand customer problem statements, analyze data, and provide plan of actions.
• Perform breakdown repairs and maintenance at customers’ sites with rapid response where necessary.
• Prepare with customers site planning and check and verify install requirements are met prior to system installation.
• Install and/or upgrade of purchased products for the European customers.
• Perform conformance testing of tools according to procedures of installed tools at customer ‘s site.
• Train and instruct user in basic operation and maintenance our products.
• Work with other cross-functional groups (Engineering, Manufacturing, Applications, and Service) to discuss technical issues in details and host meetings to establish owners, action items, and dates.
• Communicate installation status to team.
• Be available to travel within the region and occasionally worldwide to support escalated issues onsite.
• Document and report installation or quality non-conformances through a remote database management system.
• Provide technical input to the sales team for future business development.
Requirements:
• A university degree in engineering or natural sciences, a degree as a technician or a completed technical apprenticeship.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting systems with mechanical, optical, pneumatic, and electronic components is preferable.
• Ability to diagnose causes of malfunction and to actively resolve customers’ service problems.
• Strong interpersonal and self-management skills
• Fluent in English
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good computer literacy, including familiarity with data system hardware and industry standard operating systems.
• Travel requirements up to 30% with mainly domestic and occasionally international travel.
• A current and valid driving license
• Valid working permission within the EU
• No visa or other restriction preventing travel in the USA or EU
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
