Job Title: Technical Support Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical support to customers, interfacing with engineering, commercial, and quality teams as necessary. You will be responsible for supporting motor, generator, control, and related systems within various energy environments including nuclear, power plants, pulp & paper, and refineries. You will also create and process warranty claims, resolve service requests, and promote strong customer relationships. Your role will include analyzing field data, recommending corrective actions, writing and editing service reports, and organizing inspection, analysis, and disposition of returned equipment, parts, and materials. Additionally, you will serve as a liaison between the sales force, customers, users, and factory, providing technical information and assistance.

ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to customers, interfacing with engineering, commercial, and quality teams as necessary.Support motor, generator, control, and related systems within energy environments such as nuclear, power plants, pulp & paper, and refineries.Create and process warranty claims.Resolve service requests effectively and promote strong customer relationships.Analyze field data, recommend corrective actions, and write and edit service reports related to warranty work.Organize and coordinate inspection, analysis, and disposition of returned equipment, parts, and materials.Serve as a liaison between the sales force, customers, users, and factory, providing technical information and assistance.Perform other duties as assigned by management to meet business needs.Essential SkillsB.S. degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.1+ year of recent experience in an engineering or technical support role.Demonstrated sense of urgency to affect timely response and resolution to customer requests.Strong oral and written communication skills.Proven ability to effectively deal with difficult customers.Demonstrated project management skills, including direction of technical and non-technical staff and customers.Ability to keep multiple tasks and activities coordinated, prioritized, documented, and in motion or progress at one time.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency with SAP, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.Physical ability to travel freely within facilities.Work Environment

This is an onsite role based in northeast Minneapolis, with the expectation to be in the office 3-5 days per week. The role will involve a blend of office and factory work as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $43.00/hr.
