**Job Overview**
The primary role of this position is to serve as the functional link between Sales, Operations, Research and Development, Sustaining Engineering and Product Line Management with regards to the support of existing and new technology. You will provide oversight and development of regional technical standards in engineering, sales and operations. You will generate Sales and increase revenue at the Regional Level through the sale of Products and Services following designed Technical & sales objectives, policies, and programs to achieve maximum Sales at the highest return for the Company and introduce new technologies and capabilities.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Comply with quality, safety, and company policies
+ Generate new business, increase revenue and service existing customers within an assigned geographical area
+ Ensure Marketing/Sales initiatives and objectives align with Weatherford's overall programs, objectives and plans
+ Provide technical knowledge and support to customers, sales personnel, and potential customers
+ Attend product line specific training sessions
+ Work with sales staff and R&D to propose changes to existing products and introduce new ones
+ Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality
+ Comply with Weatherford Quality Policy and all Quality Systems Manual requirements
+ Carry out work assignments to the highest quality level
+ Monitor technical content of job proposals to ensure technical standards are upheld
+ Assist and support new product introduction/development
+ Develop and present technical courses internally and externally
+ Monitor District, Field and Trainee Engineers' career development process
+ Develop regional marketing communications material for new product/service launches
+ Provide field technical support as needed
+ Assist in technical investigations and problem job reporting
+ Design and develop new applications and scenarios to fulfil customer requirements efficiently
+ Maintain sales contacts with key customers
+ Support the overall technology strategy
+ Advise sales personnel, customers and potential customers on technical issues
+ Provide technical support to manufacturing and overview of Quality assurance
+ Assist sales personnel in the preparation of bids
+ Meet with customers to develop and design products and services
+ Train customers and/or field personnel on new products
+ Handle special projects as assigned
+ Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor within physical constraints
**Skills:**
+ Proficient verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to follow instructions
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
+ Ability to work in a team environment
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
+ Ability to work closely with internal customers
+ Self-motivated and committed to service quality
+ Preferred skills: Computer Aided Drafting (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ProE or equivalent), ability to liaise between Customer and Weatherford
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
+ Minimum of 1-2 years of Field Experience or equivalent
+ Minimum of 2-3 years of Application Engineering (AE I) Experience or equivalent
