Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to adapt and implement support strategy for the designated area in line with the global support strategy. Each day, you will ensure seamless technical and commercial support for internal and external customers. You will also showcase your expertise by creating, implementing, and reviewing support strategy for the designated area based on the overall service business strategy.The work model for the role is: #LI-onsite, #LI-hybridThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics Business being based at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tOverseeing estimations, bids, and proposals and ensuring they align with ABB standards and targets.•\tEnsuring customer focus and understanding of sense of urgency and care in their own area of responsibility.•\tManaging teams of technical support engineers and/or customer support staff.•\tDriving continuous improvement culture and implementation of improvements to achieve service excellence in your own area of responsibility.•\tProviding site service/troubleshooting support to customers.•\tProviding technical advise and support to project/service engineers in related technical issue.•\tCommunicating with Factory to acquire latest technical knowledge or solution to minimize technical issue.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Instruments, mechanical, electrical etc.Experience with analytical products such as process gas chromatograph (PGC), Natural gas chromatograph (NGC), continuous gas analyzer (CGA), continuous water analyzer (CWA), Fourier Transform Near-Infrared Analyzer (FTNIR), and other instrument products.Technical skills and experience in servicing related products in oil and gas industry, as well as other general industry.Over 10 years of experience/involvements in service (or project) lines.Managed a team of no less than 2 persons.Proficient in Microsoft office products – Office, Power point, Excel.Experience with SAP.
