Technical Support Scientist
Location: Lakeland, FL, U.S.

We are looking for a technically minded individual to provide technical support for our Citrus Oil/Citrus Flavor manufacturing and processing facility. The Technical Support Scientist will be responsible for the successful commercialization of new products and technologies and ensure their safety, reproducibility and economic viability within the Citrus arena.  While the role is primarily scientifically and engineering based, the position will often interact with all areas of a plant including Commercial, Finance, Inventory, Purchasing etc. As you grow in the role there will be opportunities to provide support across the globe for citrus related activities. Your key responsibilities

•    Trouble-shoot the safety, reproducibility and economic viability of products & processes
•    Evaluate safety & complexity of new formulas and MDM review of formulations 
•    Provide technical feedback to Quality, Production and Purchasing
•    Write / Modify manufacturing instructions based on sample lab production and after observations upon scale up.
•    Capture and transmit scale-up / production data through corporate documentation, written reports, presentations and in-person contact
•    Keep up with trends in the general citrus industry and specifically the Citrus oils industry

You bring

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering or related field
•    Minimum of 3 years’ experience in R&D, Pilot Plant or Production environment.  Flavor Industry specifically the Citrus Flavor Industry is a strong plus  
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills required
•    Strong interpersonal skills to create a spirit of initiative and drive for progress
•    A spirit of curiosity and taking on new challenges in in mathematics that will facilitate innovative solutions driving change
•    A sense of ownership and delivery to contribute further to our success
