JOB SUMMARY:   

As a DT Service Desk Support Intern, you will assist Pratt & Miller's internal teams by supporting a Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop environment within a Service Desk framework. You will gain hands-on experience resolving technical issues, configuring hardware and software, and contributing to various IT projects. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:   

Addressing and resolving trouble tickets and documenting case notes using ServiceNow. 

Setting up and configuring DELL PC/laptop workstations, including software installations. 

Providing escalated break/fix support for workstations, peripherals, and printers. 

Troubleshooting hardware and software issues as they arise. 

Assisting with Digital Technology (DT) projects, varying in scope and duration. 

Support business applications through general maintenance, administration, and technical troubleshooting.  

Work on business process improvement projects for the different business segments. 

Attending meetings and providing insights as needed. 

Offering feedback on product and process improvements. 

Actively acquiring new skills and responsibilities to support personal and team growth. 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Currently enrolled in an associates or bachelor's program in computer science, computer information, business information or a related field. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

Prior exposure to IT operations or end user support. 

Experience supporting Windows OS and applications.

Relevant IT certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, CISCO, etc. 

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for interacting with team members and internal clients. 

Customer-focused with the ability to promptly respond to support inquiries via email, phone, and other electronic channels. 

  

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

 Physical Demands: Light physical activity is required. 

Work Schedule: Daytime hours Monday to Friday, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.
