The Technical Training Specialist will create and manage technical training programs targeted at building technical and operational knowledge, skills and abilities. Responsibilities include:
Enhances the quality and effectiveness of training by analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating companywide training programs and initiatives. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation and influence change at all levels of the organizationConsults with various levels of leadership to facilitate the implementation of initiatives and upgrades to new and existing programs.Prioritizes and multi-tasks in order to manage multiple projects while working both independently and by collaborating with teams.Communicates with key stakeholders to provide ongoing project status updates, potential issues, successes and lessons learned.Participates in internal audits to verify site training is properly documented and meets or exceeds organizational requirements.Performs internal reviews of program evaluation data to assess training program effectiveness and recommend necessary changes.Builds positive relationships and work with others to accomplish challenging assignments.Understands government regulations in order to identify training updates and recommend necessary changes.This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

High school diploma or GED.5 years of experience in Refining, Operations, Maintenance / Craft, or Safety.Experience facilitating technical training content such as operations, maintenance, and safety related topics.Valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within specified timeframe.Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the time during peak program phases. Able and willing to work onsite and in-person at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio.All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
