Howden Reciprocating and Centrifugal compressors (HCR), a Chart Industries Company, is a specialist supplier of tailor-made gas compression equipment to various industries Our products have made a valuable difference for our clients for the past 100 years, and we are now looking for a Technical Training Specialist (Trainer) who will join our team and assist us in making a valuable difference in the century to come. You will be a core member of our Aftermarket Academy Europe, part of the Howden and Chart Industries Group, that will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs, catering to both internal teams and external clients. The purpose of the role is equipping our employees with the skills needed to excel in their roles and ensuring our clients maximize the value of our cutting-edge products. In addition to the training responsibilities, you will spearhead the creation of offers and oversee the handling of orders, taking a leading role in managing the financial aspects associated with our training services.
What needs to be done?
Develop and deliver engaging training programs for internal teams, focusing on technical product knowledge, features, and best practices. Create customized training modules for external clients, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of our products and how to leverage them effectively. Collaborate closely with product development teams to stay updated on the latest features, updates, and industry trends. Conduct in-house, on-site, and virtual training sessions for both internal and external audiences. Customize training content to meet the specific needs of different teams and clients. Provide ongoing support and assistance to internal teams and clients, addressing product-related queries and ensuring a seamless learning experience. Assess the effectiveness of training programs, gather feedback, and make continuous improvements. Manage customized offers and orders for training services, ensuring alignment with client needs and company standards. Take ownership of financial aspects related to training services, including budgeting, pricing strategies, and expense management.
What do you need to bring?
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. If available, practical experience as a Field Service Engineer. Experience as a Technical Product Trainer, with a track record of conducting both internal and external training programs or equivalent work experience. Fluent English and Dutch language skills, both verbal and in writing. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt content to diverse audiences. In-depth understanding of our products and the ability to translate technical concepts into accessible training material. Proficient in creating training materials using various tools and platforms. Familiarity with e-learning platforms and techniques. Enthusiastic about staying updated on industry trends and incorporating new knowledge into training programs. Product knowledge: Compression technology, instrumentation technology, hydraulics, pneumatics, process engineering.
